Time stretches. The dance floor is a paradise. This moment is all there is. We are lifted by the lights, held by the music. Our hard edges soften and our hearts swell – finding place, finding ground, finding home.
Join Candoco and Dan Daw Creative Projects on a beat-driven, joyful journey to a perfect rave – a place where everyone is welcome and where you love doing something so much that you would never want to stop.
Told through Dan Daw’s unique weaving of dance, narrative and iconography and co-directed by storytelling raver Stef O’Driscoll, Over and Over (and over again) looks at what happens when a beat takes hold, and we dare to colour outside the lines to create our own dance-floor utopia.
Please join us after the performance for a post-show talk.
Running Time: approximately 1 hour (without an interval)
Audience Warnings: contains loud music.
ACCESS
This is a Relaxed Performance where there is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement in the auditorium. No changes are made to the light and sounds.
This performance has embedded captions for every performance. This service may be useful for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
SOFT SEATING
We have a limited number of bean bags available for any disabled or chronically ill audience members who would benefit from soft seating whilst they experience the performance. These are in the first row of the auditorium and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Please call 01473 295230, email info@danceeast.co.uk, or visit our friendly Sales and Admin Team at the DanceEast Box Office if you’d like to book one of the bean bags for the performance of Over and Over (and Over Again).
TOUCH TOUR
Join Candoco Dance Company for a touch tour before the show from 6.30pm – 7.00pm. Designed for visually impaired audiences, touch tours provide tactile experience of the performance space, inviting you to touch parts of the costumes, props, and set. Book your place on the touch tour when you book your tickets.
PRE-SHOW
On the day of the performance, Candoco Dance Company will have a station in our foyer for audience members to approach them and ask questions about the performance. This is open to anyone and enables audience members to engage with:
- An explanation of triggers from the Audience Warnings
- Images of the performers and their costumes.
